Years back, I didn’t see any usefulness in being a single lady. All my thoughts were focused on how to find a man to settle down with. If you ask me what to expect in my quest to get married, I didn’t know beyond romance and having to bear the tag ‘wife.’ and ‘mother.’
But I know better now. I understand to an extent that marriage comes with responsibilities and commitment. I see that my mental, spiritual and intellectual factors must come into play.
It became a serious matter for me when in my search for wholeness, God began to open my eyes to see the future and the things he would have me do. I knew that saying Yes to a man goes beyond his claim to accepting the Lordship of Christ.
In today’s podcast, I talked deeply about our positions as singles and how we can make best of this phase of our lives. We look forward to getting married, yes. But while we wait, how can we make it profitable? How do we see singleness as a blessing instead of a curse.
