ARE YOU TAKING GOD AT HIS WORD?

A

Can we just believe in our heart that whatever God’s word says is true?

When doubts attack our mind, can we put God’s Word before us and say, ‘Yeah, I have not seen the manifestation of the things I desire but I am going to hold firmly to God’s word, no matter what.’

Can we stubbornly refuse to stagger at God’s promise and  be strong in faith assured that what God says will come to pass?

Key verse: The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:5 NLT

One of the things I wished I’d trained myself to do in my early days as a believer is the practice of trusting God for light with regards to some areas of my life that I needed clarity on.

I wish I’d stood my ground against worry, anxiety and fear at those times. Rather than stay unflinching on God’s word, I’d jumped up and down trying to fix things that got me frustrated and disappointed.

1 Peter 2 verse 9 tells us that God called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. 2 Corinthians 4 verse 6 says God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness hath shined in our heart to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

If you have believed the gospel, light has come to you!

There is no situation that should hold down a believer forever without his permission. Living out our true selves implies stepping out in confidence armed with the infallible word of God.

Whatever God says we are, that’s exactly what we are!

Whatever God says we have, we have!

There is no depth of darkness that can extinguish the light that we carry in our spirit. Our minds may not yet have accessed the light but it doesn’t change the fact that we already have all we need in our spirit where the fullness of God dwells. Bringing our mind to that realization is our responsibilty. It requires recognition, declaration and consistently asking that our eyes may see what is already ours.

Confidence in God’s word is deepened by revelation knowledge. When your mind receives light, convictions are strengthened

When situations and difficult circumstances seem to overwhelm us and we wonder what to do, we must more than ever stay conscious that the light we carry can put an end to darkness.

There is light for every situation. We know what to do always. Whatever in our lives that seem contrary to God’s plan, we speak:

Light, be!

There is no demonic oppression, no power of hell that can militate against the flow of the abundance of life that Christ has given to us. We must begin to walk in this reality.

The devil only comes to steal, kill and to destroy. Christ has come that we may have life abundantly.

Will you take God at His word?

Rather than dwell on what havock the devil can do, will you spend time meditating, speaking, rejoicing in your position in Christ? Will you drink in the Epistles on the reality of your redemption?

We have the authority to speak to situations. We stand on God’s Word until we see results.

Whatever area in your life that seem like a struggle, remember that you have what it takes to address the situation. Be it in your relationship, business, career…whatever.

No matter the contradictions, we stay dogged on what God is saying to us personally as instructions and generally as his children and as the body of Christ..

No force on earth can diminish the light we carry. Amen?

Declarations:

I walk in the light as He is in the light.

There is no darkness in my path. I only have light.

I know what to do in every situation!

God’s word is true and it is for me! I am strong in faith!

I am what God says I am. I am who God says I am. I have what God says I have.

Every day of my life, light shines in my path!

I do not have what God did not give! My organs function to the perfection God created them to function! My mind is sound! It responds only to light!
